Job Description

Contract Type: TemporaryStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: 30th April 2024 - possibly longer up to 6 months (potential temp - perm)Pay Rate: £16.50 - £17.00 per hourWorking Pattern: Full TimeLocation: West End, LondonOur client, a leading private medical organisation based in the Harley Street area, is seeking a dynamic and passionate temporary worker to join their team as Patient Coordinators. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the fast-paced and rewarding fieldof private health care. If you have experience in medical reception, patient coordination, medical secretarial, or medical administration, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:

  • Answering the phone and helping patients with appointments, prescription requests, general queries etc
  • Guiding patients to the company website where appropriate/relevant (repeat prescription requests, FAQ etc
  • Booking/changing appointments on Semble, the clinical system they use
  • Following up on new patient contacts quickly and arranging the first convenient/available appointment
  • Sending out correspondence and investigation/correct blood test request forms in readiness for their forthcoming appointments
  • Taking payment after a consultation, booking a follow-up appointment and ensuring all tasks related to that consultation are completed (eg sending out necessary blood test request forms and patient information)
  • Dealing with patient emails - understanding what needs to go to the doctor and what can be dealt with administratively
  • Dealing with private prescription queries and repeat prescription requests
  • Liaising with doctors to facilitate replies to clinical queries
  • Checking that test results are available for clinics
  • Ensuring the clinic is clean, tidy, well-stocked, the dishwasher is loaded and unloaded and things are generally in order as if they were at home
Key Skills:
  • Previous experience in medical reception, patient coordination, medical secretarial, or medical administration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and medical software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
