Job Description

Technology Information, Accreditation & Advisory ConsultantLocation: LondonDuration: 12 monthsIR35 Status: Inside of ScopePay Rate: Market RatesClearance: SC+ Clearance (NB vetting process takes 3-4 months)Role Summary:Information, Accreditation & Advisory Consultant within the wider Data & Information Governance and Policy team. This role will focus on managing and leading a team and providing guidance and direction in Information Accreditation and Advisory.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team delivering Information Assurance services
  • Support senior management in the delivery of an effective and efficient departmental service, deputising where appropriate
  • Manage projects, resources, programmes, planning activity or campaigns to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales/budgets and quality standards
  • Manage and oversee production of Risk Management Accreditation Documents (RMADS) for classified IT systems in accordance with the Clints Accreditation regime
  • Provide advice and support to team members with regards to HMG Information Assurance issues
  • Manage the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/information and develop policy, reports and procedures and manage data systems across business areas
  • Manage the quality of service delivery, business and supplier performance, to ensure continuous improvement in service standards
    • Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • In depth knowledge of the HMG Accreditation and Compliance regime
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 and HMG Information Standards and Good Practice Guides
  • Good understanding of information management
  • Experience working in an Information Security or Information Assurance team
  • Experience of managing projects and workload planning and reporting
  • Proven experience of supervision or first line management
  • Experience of analysing information from a range of sources
    • Please note SC+ (SC Enhanced) security clearance is required.An applicant must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years out of the past 5 years in order to provide the footprint required to conduct an SC clearance check. This is a national requirement for any applicant to UK roles that require SC clearance.Timescales (for SC+ clearance)The SC+ security clearance process can take 3-4 months, and sometimes longer, from the date of the submission of accurately completed security forms depending on the level of security clearance already held and the vetting history of the individual.
