Job Description

AJ Chambers is working with a Top 30 firm based in Central London who are looking for a Technical Senior Manager to join their team. This position will have you join the compliance department where you will support the partner with audit quality control and dealing with technical queries of an audit, financial reporting and ethics nature.What will you be doing

  • Assisting with technical queries in relation to audit, financial reporting, money laundering, ethics, company secretarial and some specialist reporting areas such as Pensions, SAR and FCA
  • Performing hot and cold file reviews
  • Carrying out root causes analysis exercises
  • Reviewing changes to standards and communicating these to the firm
  • Providing ad hoc training on key audit, financial reporting, money laundering, and practical areas for staff
  • Assisting with the drafting of procedures and policy documents
What is required of you
  • A professional accounting qualification - ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA (minimum criteria)
  • Significant audit experience and the ability to review audit files (minimum criteria)
  • IFRS knowledge and experience
  • Experience of summarising reports on findings in a concise manner
  • Experience of audit software (we use Caseware) and Microsoft packages
