This company was built to enable teams to get back to their "why" and reduce mundane, process-driven work.They are a start-up, based in NYC, and is a very ambitious, fast-growing business.This is an opportunity for an exceptional Technical Project Manager to help build the business. You will sculpt the product output that customers interact with every day by breaking down features and objectives from the product roadmap into tangible tasksfor the development team.Key responsibilities As a Technical Project Manager, you will work closely with the Product Manager on the product roadmap. You will take business objectives and ensure all feature ideas/improvement requests are analyzed and planned for the development team.Responsibilities will include:- Analyze, plan and break down discovery user stories and improvement suggestions into actionable tasks for developers to pick up in a planned sprint- Sprint planning - ensure the sprint includes tangible tasks for the developers to complete within the duration of the sprint o The planned sprints should be in line with the product roadmap- Own the development Jira board - determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives. Ensure all tasks have story points & velocity is tracked- Prioritize the backlog- Proactively identify user stories in the backlog that need analysis and planning- Evaluate technology options and provide the cost/benefit analysis in your research & recommendation- Align with Product Manager and Lead Developer on scheduled product releases- Manage QA testing- Lead regular technical team meetings to ensure the tasks in the sprint are progressing, support the development team and follow up on actions to meet the requirements of the sprint- Create user stories and bugs- Ensure documentation is up to date- Create user journeys, wireframes for new user stories as necessary- Manage, maintain & share insights from product analytics tools- Work alongside Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Development, Product Management as a key technical advisor for our main products.The Technical Project Manager will provide support across our two live products, as well as support across new innovation initiatives as needed.Qualifications - 3-5 years experience in a Technical Project Management role- SaaS and start-up experience- A technical infrastructure and product expert, can work with Microsoft Azure, Python, Django developers and are enthusiastic about design, testing, performance, architecture- You have developed essential soft skills vital to the Technical Project Manager role, including: communication, teamwork, collaboration, excellent attention to detail, highly organized, flexibility, problem solving, conflict resolution, can-do attitude,multi-tasking- You have in-depth knowledge and experience executing Agile and/or Scrum methodologies- Proven track record of delivering - you know how to prioritize and get the job done- Prior use of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)- You are capable of performing the Product Owner role, if required- Independent self-starter: you thrive in fast-paced environments and feel comfortable with a high level of responsibility
