The Role: Title: Technical Inspector (Special Projects) Contract Type: Permanent Persona: AgileReporting office: Stratford, E15 Interviews will be held on: TBC Salary: £53,000-£61,000 Closing date for completed applications: Wednesday 13 December 2023 Role Profile Within our Development Division we are recruiting to the post of Technical Inspector.You will be part of our Special Projects team who are responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and managing complex latent defects. Your role will be to investigate potential latent defects, mitigate any health & safety issues and collate the evidence todetermine liability for the defect. You will oversee the remediation of latent defects with a focus on quality, H&S, and the customer in all aspects of the work. The ideal candidate will be a first-class communicator with strong negotiation skills, experienceof dealing a varied range of stakeholders. You will be able to effectively collaborate with various external stakeholders including consultants, solicitors, developers, and contractors. You will work closely with colleagues in the Neighbourhoods, PropertyServices, and the Aftercare team to ensure that L&Q to deliver a first-class customer service. You will make a real difference providing an effective, efficient and responsive latent defects process to support L&Qs corporate objective of achieving CustomerSatisfaction Excellence. It is essential that you have extensive building or maintenance experience, understand building regulations and relevant standards such as NHBC. Ideally, you will have knowledge in the construction of new buildings, on large scaleestates and regeneration schemes incorporating sustainable construction elements. You will need to have an ability to identify and resolve multiple issues to ensure the highest level of contract compliance. You will require knowledge and experience of bothcustomer and user requirements and have the skills and experience to meet both stakeholder and resident satisfaction. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of building pathology, diagnosing building defects, related current legislation to ensure thatquality and value for money is always achieved. You will need to be computer literate and be able to input and retrieve data from L&Qs computer management systems. Part of this role will entail meeting customers in their home, which may require occasionalout of hours working. You will need a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle on a daily basis as this role requires the post holder to be mobile (travelling to various sites within the M25).
