Job Description

Technical Fashion DesignerA global powerhouse within the social media industry is looking for a Technical Fashion Designer to join their team remotely on an initial 12 month contract.The team are technical employees working on ML, software engineers and computer visions engineers to create digital products. There is also one fashion designer.The aim of the team is to support how customers try on apparel or express themselves through fashion in a virtual space - this team is the XR fashion team.The successful Technical Fashion Designer will be working on next generation technology within the augmented reality platforms.Job Responsibilities

  • Create virtual garments from scratch.
  • Convert tech packs to 3D assets.
  • Participate in studies of new fashion design tools.
  • Consult our team on industry best practices.
Skills / Experience Required
  • Experience with fashion software (CLO3D, Marvelous Designer, Browzwear etc.)
  • Skilled in one or several industry standard 3D software (C4D, Blender, Maya, Substance)
  • Experience in technical fashion design
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team work and collaboration with engineers
  • Non-apparel 3D modelling/ rendering experience (nice to have)
  • Ability to understand tech packs, pattern annotations, fit and sizing (must); have a good understanding of textiles (preferred)
