Huntswood is looking for a Technical Advisor with experience within the Utilities sector to join our advisory team within Huntswood. REPORTING TO: ADVISORY DIRECTOR LOCATION: READING / REMOTE BASED WITH UK TRAVEL FOR ASSIGNMENTS JOB PURPOSE Within Advisory,our key objective is to help firms raise standards thereby enabling them to safeguard their reputation, mitigate regulatory risk and drive better outcomes for their business and customers. JOB DESCRIPTION TASKSBe Huntswoods technical expert across theUtilities sectors (Energy, Telecoms, Water)Be an ambassador for Huntswood across the industry and lead on regulatory, client and industry stakeholder relationshipsResponsible for identifying, initiating and leading sales bids and other business developmentactivitiesPlay an active role in account management with clientsCreate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholdersBe a technical advisor for case management projects, continually reviewing, adapting and developing it in order to achievethe financial target KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSDelivery on financial and organisational targets in line with the Huntswood Balanced Score CardDevelopment of good working relationships with other key stakeholders across the business to ensure a joinedup and collaborative approachContinual development of the reputation of Advisory through diverse media including client meetings and networking, external publications, attendance at events PERSON SPECIFICATIONExpert knowledge and experience in a utilitiessector (Energy, Telecoms,Water) with an exposure to others would be beneficialComprehensive and detailed understanding of a utilities regulator Ofgem, Ofcom, Ofwat including both current and emerging issues affecting firmsExperience of liaising at asenior level to form strong working relationshipsBroad knowledge of utilities sectors, including regulation, market, competitor activity and industry trendsExperience of operational requirements on utilities engagementsExcellent communicator withthe ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholdersA can-do attitude and a will to get involved and support the wider business with practical solutions to technical challengesCORE BEHAVIOURS To work with, Huntswoods employees aredescribed as dependable, driven and collaborative.
