Job Description

About the roleWere looking for experienced project professionals who will help us deliver best in class projects across our business and to our clients. We are particularly keen to attract people with PMO/Project Management experience from multiple sectors such as Financial services, Technology, IT, Construction and Manufacturing.The role involves supporting the execution of technology transformation and change projects for our clients, who arepredominantly within the financial services sector.This may include:Development and maintenance of project plansPreparation of project reports including status reports, RAID logs and project dashboards, tracking and analysis of budgetary information across the full project portfolioProduction of presentations and excel based management information for senior management/stakeholdersSupporting the project management team with ad hoc requirementsIdentifying and management of risks, issues and dependencies and taking action accordinglyWorking directly with our internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure effective project deliveryUtilising appropriate and repeatable technology solutions to support high quality, efficient outcomesThe ideal candidate will have the ability to engage not just on the how, but also on the why with the courage tochallenge.Who we are looking forEssentialPrevious PMO or junior project management experienceAbility to apply a logical and analytical approach to workExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHighly analytical and ability to develop solutions to technical problemsExcellent project planning skills and experience of using project management and planning tools such as MS-ProjectGood knowledge of the MS Office and/or GSuite, in particular strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPointDemonstrated flexible approach to assignments.DesirableUndergraduate degree (e.g. BA, BSc, BEng)Previous experience of working in a regulatory driven change environment, a banking, technology or manufacturing environment or IT enabled change environmentOther relevant professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, APMP, PMP, Agile, ScrumLocationYou will be based in Central Scotland, however as a result of the wide variety of clients and projects, you may beasked to work in other locations within the UK and beyond, sometimes at short notice and sometimes over lengthyperiods of time. Your desire and ability to do this will be discussed as part of the recruitment process.
