Job Description

Slingshot Education are looking to appoint enthusiastic Early Years and KS1&2 Teaching Assistants to support students across the curriculum and across schools in London. If you have child- based work experience and you are passionate about education andinclusion, this could be your next role! This position is an exciting chance to play a pivotal role in a supportive and friendly team and is also an ideal opportunity for candidates who want to gain more experience in the rewarding field of teaching.• Job type: Full- time (Mon-Fri, 8.30 -15.30).• Rate: £90-£100/day.• Start Date: Immediately.• Applications are now open.Requirements You will be collaboratively working with the teaching staff and ensuring academic and personal development for all students,children and kids while adhering and ensuring provision and safeguarding for all. Previous experience of working with young people,children and kids in any capacity (TA, LSA, nanny, babysitter, sports coach, swim instructor, lifeguard, childrens party host, mentor, customer service etc) is desirable but not required. An interest in supporting students and children with Special EducationalNeeds and Disabilities are also an advantage. All staff are expected to do everything they can to protect children and young people from harm and to make the learning environment safe.Other responsibilities will include:

  • Support the main class teacher in the delivery of the lessons.
  • Differentiate instruction to make curriculum accessible to all students (including those with SEND).
  • Monitor and record pupils progress and provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers and parents when required.
  • Provide support as required, such as helping during exams, or going on school trips and participating in sports day.
  • Help with extracurricular activity such as breakfast and after-school clubs, homework club, revision sessions or playtime and lunchtime duties. In some cases support with Personal Care may also be included.
