We are currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic and supportive SEN school in Lewisham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing individualised support to children, many of whom have an Education, Health, and CarePlan (EHCP). Whether youre a recent graduate or have experience as a Teaching Assistant, we welcome your application. Ideally, candidates from Lewisham or the local area are preferred.
  • Provide dedicated support to help pupils access the curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being
  • Assist in implementing and adapting educational plans for students with diverse learning needs
Requirements:
  • A strong academic background, preferably a degree in Education or a related field
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Prior experience working with children; experience in supporting children with SEN is advantageous
  • Creativity and innovation in supporting diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
