Job Description

Teaching Assistant | Bermondsey | Southwark | Immediate StartProspero Teaching are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistant to join a Primary Special Needs School in Bermondsey who specialise in supporting children with SLD, PMLD and additional Complex Needs including Severe Autism. The Position is full-time, long-termand will be an immediate start.DAILY RATE: £80-£100 Weekly PayLOCATION: BermondseySTART DATE: ImmediateDURATION: Long TermCONTRACT TYPE: Full-TimeThe successful applicants will have:

  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Discorder and/or Physical, Mental, Sensory Impairments
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/carers
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
  • Hold an enhanced CHILD AND ADULT barred list DBS cetificate
The role will consist of:
  • Offering support to the class teacher
  • Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans
  • Building good student - teacher rapport
  • Support aspects of personal and intimate care
