Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Art teacher ready to inspire the next generation of artists We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Teacher of Art to join our a leading 11-18 academy in Waltham Forest. If you have a flair forcreativity, a commitment to student development, and a desire to make a lasting impact, Tradewind want to hear from you!The academy boasts modern facilities and has staff and student development at the forefront of everything they do. In the early 2000s, the school underwent significant structural developments and they are proud of the physical and academic environment inwhich they have created. The Art department benefitted hugely from the developments, with state of the art equipment and spaces designed to inspire and motivate all students within their community. Within the Art Team, there is a highly experienced Head ofDepartment and group of dedicated teachers that are committed to designing schemes of learning that support students achieve their maximum potential within the subject.   • Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stage 3 - 5.
  • Lead extra-curricular art sessions to nurture students creative talents.
  • Teach Key Stage 4 Photography, fostering a love for visual expression.
  • Embrace the role of a form tutor, supporting students personal growth and development.
  • Play an active part in planning and organizing school trips to enrich students cultural experiences.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • A strong drive and determination to progress students artistic skills and overall learning.
