The TeamNorton Rose Fulbright is seeking an International Tax Senior Manager to lead on UK Partner Tax and Partner Matters for the in-house Partner Affairs and Tax team. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team of tax and accounting professionals. The teamworks across the Europe, Middle East and Asia region (“EMEA”) and is responsible for providing tax advisory and compliance services to the firm and assisting across all Partner tax and financial matters.The key relationships include the Partner Affairs and Tax Team, Chief Operating Officers and Finance teams in the UK and overseas.The Partner Affairs and Tax team are part of the Finance team which has a vision to be a trusted value adding business partner that delivers outstanding service and operational excellence.The RoleThe role reports to the Director of Partner Affairs and Tax and will involve interfacing with Partners, Business Support Directors, local/regional accountants and external advisors. The role will suit someone with strong compliance and operational skills.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Manage global tax compliance across the EMEA region• Review and delivery of:- Profit Allocation for the Partnership Tax Return- UK Double Tax Relief Claims• Plan and manage the year end process work to produce tax reserve calculations, tax equalisation and accounts notes• Responsibility for reconciling partner tax reserve charges including true up of tax equalisation arrangements• Reconciliation of tax accounts and rectifying historic issues• Lead projects to resolve tax related issues within the business• Supporting local Chief Operating Officers (COO’s) and finance teams in managing local tax filings and local tax audits• Involvement on PE issues• Support on withholding tax issues• Support on advisory and project work• Responding to ad hoc queries• Constant review and improvement of processes• Management and development of team membersThe main responsibilities are outlined above, however the successful candidate may be needed to undertake other responsibilities and be willing to take on new challenges.Skills and Experience Required• ACA/ACCA/CTA/ADIT (or overseas equivalent) qualified• Technical and practical expertise around UK headquartered International Partnerships gained from working in a professional services environment• Proven experience in project management and delivery – comfortable with change and complexity• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, COO’s an other key stakeholders• Ability to communicate tax technical matters clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders• Be able to think commercially and creatively, together with an attention to detail• An enthusiastic team player with a flexible and collaborative working style• Self-review, discipline and intellectual curiosity• Ability to challenge established way of doing things and continuous improvement of processes• Take the initiative to identify and develop new technology solutions• Hands on approach• High and focused energy levelsSkills and Experience Desirable• Strong experience/understanding#LI-KM2Diversity, Equity and InclusionTo attract the best people, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work, have a sense of belonging, and realize their full career potential.Our new enabled work model allowsour people to have more flexibility in the way they choose to workfrom both the office and a remote location, while continuing todeliver the highest standards of service.
