Job Description

Systems Test Analyst – Holborn, London – £50,000–55,000kWe at TEKsystems are on the lookout for a Systems Test Analyst to join one of our longstanding clients within the energy sector. You will be joining our clients London Tech Dev/QA tam working on one of their exciting new initiatives. The key aspects of theSystems Test Analyst will be to work with the Test Assurance Lead to drive and implement the testing and quality assurance practices, provide expert analysis to ensure all services and products fulfil expectations and meet agreed technical and performancerequirements. The Systems Test Analyst will also work to contribute to the establishment of the Enduring Test Legacy for the company. The ideal candidate will be experienced in design and analysis of the testing of services and products within an environmentthat integrates services from third party vendors. This will include assuring testing is undertaken within vendors, coordinating testing cycles and undertaking internal testing where required. The core focus of the role will be supporting the business in testand development activities required to support the Operational Systems and projects related to the initiative.A successful candidate will have –

  • Experience with system testing: Microsoft dynamics 365 and Azure
  • Core testing background, knows how to run front end and backend testing of systems
  • Analysing business requirements to define test strategies
  • Designing regression scope and functional test scenarios
  • Min 5 years experience
  • Low level skills around API testing. Proficient in using Postman or REST (both is a bonus) for API testing
  • SQL for database queries
  • Test management – understanding of end to end test lifecycle in waterfall and agile is critical. Using a mix of both dependent on project.
  • Add on skills around business and test driven development- expected to drive efficiencies (Gherkin framework)
  • Automation experience to drive testing efficiencies – small team. Moving a lot of manual testing to automation. Frameworks Open but starting to look at Selenium, training next year to develop own inhouse framework. Opportunity to do a lot of customisationshere.
  • Internal stakeholder groups senior leadership team, MD and diverse set of external stakeholders (energy suppliers). Expectation to communicate clearly and tailor communication to different groups.
