Role: Systems AccountantLocation: Central LondonDaily rate: £550 - £700 outside IR35Contract Term- 6 -12 monthsWho we areWe are the largest independently owned product tanker owner in the UK. The Company was established in 2006 in order to create a reliable logistics platform to serve a trading business in West Africa. We have a strong presence in clean products and light chemicalmarkets. Diversification in crude, dry bulk and gas sectors and we have 70 vessels under managementWho we are looking forThe business has grown exponentially to £300M+ gross revenue. We about to embark on Finance and Systems transformation and need a seasoned Systems Accountant to support us in this transition. We need someone that has strong accounting and IT and change background,who can assist in eliciting the key requirements from the Finance and Operational team. Facilitating and understanding operational finance today and where it needs to be; help design the required IT environment to support today/tomorrow is a key part of therole, requiring a strong empathy and understanding of good operational finance and reporting. Someone adept to working with developers to create a solution that will deliver performance and accounting reporting that is fit for purpose and add value to theExec teams decision making.Key responsibilities* Facilitate the finance systems change programme which covers: thoroughly reviewing existing systems and tools and identifying any gaps in requirements; identifying options for upgrades and improvements across the full suite of systems, tools and processes;and stakeholder management across the business including finance leadership, tech, data and people teams* Assisting in the ongoing integrity of the Finance System* Prepares material for monthly operational meetings with Leadership team* Responsible for exploiting the benefits of new functionality and working to drive best use from the system* Finance team system expert - for training and for queries* Acts as the Superuser/ Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any changes made to the system - especially new integrationsPERSON SPECIFICATIONJob Knowledge and Experience* Educated to degree level.* Must be a fully or part qualified ACA, ACMA or ACCA.* A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior systems accounting role* Strong stakeholder management skills* Familiarity with Microsoft D365 Business Central SaaS or other similar accounting packages* Sound as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Business Teams and the ability to learn new systems and processes as required. Must be able to:* Demonstrate an excellent affinity for managing teams of diverse people and managing change.* Handle a range of different tasks simultaneously and prioritise a heavy workload.* Demonstrate common sense and good judgment.* Must be commercially aware and exercise sound judgement and be able to reach reasoned decisions, presenting information clearly and accurately.* Must demonstrate a high attention to detail and a command of plain written English.* Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, customers, the Board and stakeholders.
