  • Supporting the Senior Sustainability and Underwriting Governance Analyst in responding to, monitoring, and recording referrals and queries relating to sustainability.
  • Assisting, and in some cases leading, on research relating to developing sustainability trends across the insurance sector – including peer/competitor analysis, updates on changing regulatory requirements and broader stakeholder trends/expectations.
  • Assisting the Sustainability Manager and Senior Sustainability and Underwriting Governance Analyst in responding to informational requests and surveys.
  • Creating training content and producing knowledge circulars, to be distributed through relevant forums.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across QBE Europe and the QBE Group to deliver QBE’s priority sustainability areas of focus, including claims and risk.
  • Providing broader support to the Underwriting Governance function as required.
About you
  • A bachelors degree or equivalent in Geography or climate-science preferred but not essential.
  • An interest and passion in climate change and sustainability-related matters, with an enthusiasm for exploring practical ways to implement effective, lasting solutions to help minimise the environmental and social impact of QBEs underwriting activities.
  • Good level of understanding of the relevant sustainability issues that impact a general Insurance company the size and scope of QBE Europe.
  • The ability to exercise good judgement and to provide consistent advice that promotes and role-models the QBE DNA.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel; and
  • An ability and desire to work collaboratively and operate successfully at all levels in the organization to drive excellent outcomes.
