We are committed to achieving high standards of qualityin all that we do.Position: Routes2Change practitionerLocation: HMP Isis - London SE28 0FGContract Type: PermanentHours: Part Time, 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekend & evening work may be required occasionally)Salary: £12,500 per annum pro rata (FTE £25,000.00 per annum)Closing date for applications: 11th October, 2021About the Role:This role will deliver relationship support for young men in HMPYOI Isis as part of the innovative Route2Change pilot project , adopting a relationships first approach. This comprehensive service will deliver an end to end integrated rehabilitation and resettlementsupport programme to the young men from first night in custody to up to six months following release from prison. The primary focus will be on supporting the young men to understand and develop healthy relationships with their family and others, includingwith those who have no positive family connections. Working closely with the prison and other agencies, the service will be fully integrated into sentence and release planning. The service will be delivered both in custody and in the community with the prisonerand where appropriate their family including through intensive personal support and befriending, visit services, groupwork, and targeted childrens services. Prisoners with either little or no family links will be offered support to either re-establish contact(where appropriate) or other forms of social support.Responsibilities:This post will work alongside colleagues, prisoner Pact Champions and volunteer befrienders to deliver prisoner assessment, the development of Plans, prisoner and family support and befriending, and casework in prison and in the community.
