At this vibrant service in Longwood, Huddersfield we provide quality care and support to individuals with a range of support needs including learning disabilities, mental health support needs and physical disabilities.As SupportWorker, you will be passionate about providing personalised support, based around activities that include; daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry; supporting people to meet their personal care needs; and enabling people to safely access theirlocal community. You will be required to work effectively as part of a team to provide person centred support in a consistent manner to promote independence, inclusion, wellbeing and personal development. No two days will be the same at this service, as serviceusers love to engage in a wide range of activities within the home and out in the community!Our service in Huddersfield has recently been assessed by CQC as Outstanding at being responsive to meeting peoples needs and helping them achieve and celebrategoals relating to their health, independence and social lives.Your role will include: Providing excellent, respectful personal care, administering medication and manual handling, Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activitiesboth within and outside their homes, Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest, Full time hours (37.5 hours per week), to be worked flexibly according tothe needs of the service to include daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You may be required to work sleep in shifts.We are looking for candidates from all walks of life.
