Job Description

The CompanyMy client is a London based, large business backed, Energy Start Up with around 200 employees. Ambitious growth plans see them recruiting for a sole Support Engineer reporting to the CIO.The RoleThe Support Engineers primary responsibility is to enhance the overall customer technology experience by delivering technical end-user support and managing service delivery. This entails overseeing the performance of the entire technical support capability,ensuring that business customers receive exemplary customer service. Continuous review of customer feedback is integral to guaranteeing ongoing excellence in service provision.Within this role, there is a focus on provisioning, supporting, and maintaining core IT services for customers. The Technology Lead plays a crucial role in coordinating relevant teams and individuals to uphold the optimal performance of core IT services.This coordination ensures a high level of productivity among the general workforce.Responsibilities include:

  • Install and provide comprehensive support for all hardware components, encompassing PCs, mobile devices, peripherals, and office technologies like meeting room setups.
  • Ensure prompt support for all business systems software suites and maintain a reliable networking environment.
  • Deliver IT support to end users for office automation applications, including Teams and O365.
  • Provide second-level support for various hardware, such as PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting for data network issues and coordinate escalations to external service providers when necessary.
  • Manage and update customer documentation, procedures, and product libraries.
  • Coordinate with third-party IT suppliers and partners, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Maintain positive collaborations with manufacturers, suppliers, and external third parties, working with peers across the organisation to ensure seamless operations for all staff and locations.
  • Analyse emerging desktop technologies aligned with business needs, continually seeking ways to enhance current technology and streamline business processes.
  • Develop guides and documentation for both IT and business users to maximise the effective utilisation of IT systems and applications.
