Alongside its 95supported homes for former rough sleepers it has 44low-rent independent studio flats, social enterprises and commercial businessesin a mixed vibrant environment all under one roof, where our customers can be motivated to get on the right track and find a way to independence.Wehave a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Waking Nights Support Assistant.Hours:36 Hours per week - Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 20:30pm - 08:30amLocation:Arlington - CamdenSalary:£24,114.00 per yearYour responsibilities willinclude:

  • Providing practical and emotional support to people with dual diagnosis and complex needs such as substance abuse and mental abuse within the hostel service.
  • Manage customer mental and physical health needs by regular contact and observation
  • Provide a broad range of practical and support tasks for identified customers.
  • Keep all customer records up to date – both paper files and data recording system.
  • Where required, administer medication & ensure appropriate records are maintained
  • Comply with all relevant policies & procedures, including but not limited to: Safeguarding, Customer Behaviours Framework Collaboration.
  • Building and welfare checks throughout the night
  • Some administration tasks where required and assisting with preparing paperwork for the following day e.g putting out sign in sheets
  • Assisting with setting up breakfast service in the morning

  • Be a good team player
  • Have good understanding and knowledge of safeguarding
  • Have good written and spoken English
  • Have some experience with alcohol and substance abuse/addiction, homelessness and mental health - this can be professional or personal experience.
  • Have some experience working in a similar setting (homeless prevention / supported living)
  • Ability to motivate and support vulnerable adults
  • Empathic person with a robust attitude.
