Job Description

This in turn helps us to provide better supportto our broad client base. The Roles and Responsibilities This role is a transformational lead role within the Aspire and GCFO Change Department. Aspire is a multi-year strategic investment programme to transform GCFO into a modern, globally consistent organisation with skills, capabilities and jobs that match competitorbanks. The core of Aspire requires a modern technology infrastructure and data capability - SAP has been selected for Finance. It will result in a cloud-based single instance general ledger and a detailed, granular data store that is shared with the Risk function.This will enable faster monthly close and daily reporting, centralised regulatory reporting capability, self-service MIS, and automated controls . The role is responsible for the strategic vision of FPSL and for driving out the functional standards and providing technical assurance in relation to FPSL, aligning the multiples teams and stakeholders, spanning Aspire, GCFO, Technology and CCIB and CPBB business,to an E2E roadmap for this complex, multi-year delivery. The role will be accountable for people management for the FPSL Change team and responsible for allocating FPSL Change resources to support proritised deliverables in agreement with Delivery Leads. Responsibilities

  1. Project design/ Standards
    1. Define methods and project artefacts that are appropriate to the programme - these will include amongst others: Outline Design, process flow diagrams and KPI definition and measurement and high-level impact assessment
    2. Define test acceptance criteria at story level and define the definition of #done#
    3. Assist with the design of an appropriate test strategy - to meet both the functional design standards, Downstream integration, and testing outcomes.
    4. Define how FPSL methods integrate to the end to end design artefacts such as data mapping and CDE flows
    5. Define how common requirements are to be documented to meet FPSL, R&C and downstream and how these are jointly agreed where required
    6. Collaborate with wider Aspire GCFO teams to define the most optimal transition state solution Architecture taking into considerations regulatory constraints, throw-away work and ability to pursue the strategic journey
  1. Functional design
    1. Provide functional SME support around accounting treatment, booking models, data model and report changes
    2. Define high level functional design documents.
    3. Define Finance migration strategy; provide FIA, mig adj and Pre vs Post image comparison; substantiate and clear conv suspense accounts
    4. Define e2e scope, test strategy and project milestones
  1. People Management and design
    1. Define the squad members from the SME perspective, assist with and agree other members - development, testing and integration
    2. Manage SME team leads and resources to support the FPSL Plan
    3. People SME manager - set objectives and mentor key staff - ensure training plans are in place
    4. Coach problem solving, Agile delivery and work with the Agile coach to define a roll out plan
  2. Planning
    1. Define and own L1, L2 and L3 plans for FPSL that is supported by tech counterparts and links into overall FM and Non-FM delivery plans
    2. Drive Transparency across project plans and deliverables, which facilitate surfacing Risks, Issues and Dependencies and drive collaboration in mitigating the same
  3. Execution
  1. Ensure release governance for FPSL Chapter
  1. Provide country / user walk through + manage end user UAT + solicit sign off (where applicable)
  2. Facilitate BAU breaks investigations, clearance and CR creation and testing
  3. Solutioning of core processes in the subledger (yearend, FX Reval, netting, weekend batches, etc) in collaboration with relevant teams
  1. Reporting and communications / Stakeholder management
    • Represent FPSL Chapter across all delivery, ExCO and MT meetings and with relevant stakeholders

Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Over 10 years in Programme delivery and leadership in a multi-regional Investment Banking environment on large scale transformation programs
  • Thorough understanding of Project delivery methodologies - Agile, SDLC and managing Jira at scale
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills covering both senior and operational levels
  • Thorough understanding of accounting treatment and booking models
Qualification
  • Proven experience of global/regional programme & project delivery in a banking environment.
  • Over 10 years in Programme delivery and leadership in a multi-regional Investment Banking environment on large scale change programs
  • Thorough understanding of Project delivery methodologies - Agile, SDLC,
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills covering both senior and operational levels
