City of Portsmouth College has been formed by the merger of Portsmouth College and Highbury College and was formally consitituted on 1st August 2021.The newly formed College will give students of all ages even greater flexibility with their programmesand access to dedicated subject facilities at the different campus locations. The joint organisation will also expand a uniquely flexible curriculum offer within the city of Portsmouth, comprising A Levels, vocational diplomas, apprenticeshps and higher educationqualifications.Over the coming academic year, Portsmouth College and Highbury will retain their individual identities and will be unveiling the new City of Portsmouth College brand in September 2022. To deliver a planned programme of progression activity sessions to UCAS applicants.2. To support students on vocational study programmes, developing theirunderstanding of potential destinations and the preparation required to achieve their future job / study aims.3. To work with a defined group of A level students who are looking to secure apprenticeship, other employment or other non-HE opportunitiesStudentDestination Mentors will be accountable for the following: Team planning and individual delivery of group sessions to students which encourage and support their efforts to obtain viable and secure post-college destinations. Most group sessions will be forUCAS applicants Encouraging students engagement in activities to develop their core employability skills Support for the completion of the appropriate application processes, including personal statements and similar content (but not academic references) Informationgiving, record keeping and completion of administrative paperwork as required.What we can offer you: You will be working in a friendly and professional team who are specialist experts Competitive market rate salary 23 days annual leave per annum, plus 8 BankHolidays (as this is a term time only (36 weeks per yer) position, you are not entitled to take holiday druing the college terms and instead you will reveive payment for hoiday and this will be paid to you in twelve equal instalments over the year.
