Job Purpose StatementIn this role you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of technical content relevant to the UK Intermediary market. You will create and deliver outstanding presentations which are of a technical nature to aid the support of the UK Intermediary marketand gain their support for Columbia Threadneedle Investments as a valued partner. You will create thought leadership pieces and technical output linked to financial advice, the regulatory backdrop and the dynamic changes within the UK, with the goal of positioningColumbia Threadneedle Investments as a source for insight and guidance within the intermediary market. You will provide technical support and guidance to UK Intermediary clients, sales team and business as required. Role ResponsibilitiesHow youll spend your time:

  • The production of thought leadership pieces aimed specifically at the advice market
  • Creation of materials and recording of sessions to help advisers navigate regulatory changes
  • To understand and deliver guidance on technical aspects of the financial advice market, which may be product specific e.g. Capital Gains Tax, Pension and Trust planning
  • Deliver thought provoking presentations which add value to the adviser market and position Columbia Threadneedle as the stand out provider at events
  • Support the UK Wholesale team in their Client account management and development plans to add value to their larger partner firms and generate reciprocity for the wider group.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, compliance, sales team and wider business to ensure relevance of content delivery and in appropriate format
  • Develop and ensure an up to date investment knowledge as necessary and ensuring personal knowledge is always up to date and of sufficient depth
  • Responsible for compliance with the regulatory and legislative regime as it impacts the role and ensuring that risks are identified, reported and managed accordingly
Key CapabilitiesTo be successful in this role you will have;
  • Technical knowledge of the advice market, products and regulation (e.g. CGT, pensions and trust rules) with a demonstrable track record
  • In-depth knowledge of the market place and thorough knowledge of the wider investment world, including investment markets
  • Training background would be preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK Intermediary market and the dynamics of the different market participants with some existing client relationships
  • Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to communicate this appropriately
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Ideally qualified at Chartered Advice standard or similar and any relevant Investment qualifications
  • Track record of delivery of thought leadership in the UK advice market
  • Previous technical advice background
  • Clean driving license and willingness to travel for the undertaking of the role
