Experienced Colleague: Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training For team leaders, accountable for ensuring the team the role supports is delivering a quality service or product Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them Makes suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations Key Responsibilities: Reconcile the Assets held in the M&G Aladdin Master IBOR Records with the Custodian and other Sundry Banks, Brokers and Agencies (Collateral) Via the Aladdin Matching Engine, ensure all Items in the Pending Queue are investigated and the appropriate action taken i.e. Liase with the relevant area to resolve the Breaks All Unresolved Breaks should be assigned correctly to the relevant area for resolution via the MIS Excel Spreadsheet and updated as required Prepare the Weekly MIS Report. Ensure the Access Database for Asset Recs is updated daily. Liaise with the Trustees of Unit linked Funds and prepare Pricing Packs Ensure all Procedures are followed and the Reconciliations are prepared on a timely basis Ensure the Supervisor is kept informed of any Issues regularly Assist with the Transitions and liaise with the Custodians Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Specified MIS benchmarks i.e. number of reconciliation items outstanding, kept to a minimum Visible progress made with regards to the Exceptions, which are older than 90 days Ensure that the Client Master List is reconciled quarterly Ensure Procedures are kept up to date and other Team members of the Team are aware of any changes made At least two years experience in the Asset or Cash Reconciliations Environment with a Custodian Bank or Asset Management Company Additional Knowledge of Stock Market Instruments, Settlement procedures and Corporate Actions or Global Custody will be desirable Weekly meeting, with the Supervisor to review progress and deal with ongoing Issues We live by four behaviours at M&G and we ask all our employees to: Inspire Others - Support and encourage each other, creating an environment where everyone can contribute and succeed Embrace Change - Be open to change, willing to be challenged and able to adapt quickly and imaginatively to new ideas Deliver Results - Focus on outcomes, set high standards and deliver with energy and determination Keep it Simple - Cut through complexity and bureaucracy, be clear and decisive and never overcomplicate things
