The Statutory Reporting Manager will report in to the Head of Statutory Reporting and will take responsibility for a small team. The role is split into two main areas: firstly, the individual and their team will manage the production and delivery of approximately 250 WPP Group and Operating entity statutory reports annually. They will liaise directly with Finance Directors/CFOs and their respective finance teams, as well as with WPP Group functions including tax, legal, compliance and group reporting on a regular basis. The individual will be the point of contact for all external and internal auditors in relation to statutory reporting, as well as in providing guidance and advice to teams in Financeplus about audits. The individual will also provide accounting guidance, write up accounting papers and review complex accounting transactions throughout the Group. The team also engages with the various stakeholders to streamline and rationalize the UK entity structure in WPP and provide suggestions and accounting entries to operating companies and WPP Group in order to implement this process; secondly, the individual and their team will be responsible for the delivery of management accounts for around 150 companies on a monthly basis, to include bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations as well as reviewing and approving all journal submissions. They will be expected to improve and implement technological improvements for more efficient delivery.Due to the highly technical focus of the role, the following requirements are compulsory for any applicants:
