Job Description

An exciting 6-month contract opportunity (OUTSIDE IR35) as a Statutory Reporting Accountant with a privately-owned group with diverse interests primarily in real estate and hotels.This role will suit an individual with strong statutory accounting, group consolidation and audit experience who has good knowledge of FRS102, US GAAP and IFRS.This will be joining a great team which is headed by an experienced Head of Statutory Reporting.This role has the potential to become a permanent opportunity after the initial contract period.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production of the main group consolidation and various subgroup consolidations
  • Assist in managing the production of the annual statutory accounts in excess of 50 entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of 9 group statutory accounts and relevant disclosures
  • Assist with managing external audits proactively and deliver audited accounts on time, including effective liaison with both internal and external auditors
  • Prepare key balance sheet reconciliations and assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and dealing with auditors queries at year end
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports, as required by the Head of Statutory Reporting
  • Assist with the reviewing of group companies TB on a quarterly and annual basis to aid the preparation of the consolidated management and statutory accounts.

Key Experience and Qualifications needed:
  • Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to conclude and make recommendations
  • Working knowledge of reporting systems preferred
  • Experience in the production of statutory accounts under FRS102. US GAAP and IFRS experience desirable
  • Strong consolidations experience
  • Real Estate or Fund Investment experience is desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and systems skills; experience with SAPA, CaseWare and Cognos consolidation advantageous.
  • Need to be confident, fast learner, self-motivated and proactive individual who has excellent communication skills and can work to tight deadlines
