The finance functionis critical to fostering value creation across the business - leading on automation and efficiency initiatives, whilst delivering business performance insights to steer the business.The RoleThis role supports the ongoing development of a complex ETL process between internal systems, extending the process to cover all Branch single risk data and recommending improvements to the existing process.The role will ensure the process is documented and developed in-line with the Branch data strategy, identifying technical and data issues in the process.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setting up treaty processing to support Actuarial processes.
  • Coding, testing (module/component tests), correcting and documenting solutions, using agreed standards and tools.
  • Implementing code fixes as defined by the Data Management team.
  • Supporting the local technical lead to manage and maintain the ETL process.
  • Documenting data issues found in the process through existing BAU processes.
  • Developing controls and reporting to mitigate issues.
  • Contributing to project and BAU plans to estimate the time, cost and resource effort for projects and change requests.
  • Adhere to all local and group guidelines.
  • Supporting all other functional activities, as required.
Experience
  • Strong experience in database and ETL development.
  • Experience working in a collaborative style creating a culture of accountability and sharing.
  • Strong knowledge of clean coding, object-oriented development principles.
  • Experience working in a small, focused team.
  • Experience in requirements gathering or business analysis beneficial.
Skills
  • Ability to work in an independent manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
