Tempting Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a local authority in the North West London region, to recruit experienced SQL Database Administrator. Contract: 6 months (Possible Extension) Salary: £400 a day (Umbrella) Start Date: ASAPShift Pattern: 36 hours per week /Monday - Friday / 9:00am - 5:00pm DUTIES * Manage and maintain the SQL databases for Production and Test environments.* Proactively monitor database performance, undertake appropriate tuning.* Provide day to day BAU support, being the technical lead for all SQL database related issues.* Engage directly with front line, level 1 and 2 application and functional support colleagues.* Investigate, identify and diagnose areas of poor performance and implement relevant solutions to ensure ongoing optimal configuration and performance.JOB REQUIREMENTS* Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.* At least 2 years experience working within a SQL Database role or equivalent.* In depth knowledge of ITIL service management.* Extensive knowledge of SQL and other RDBMS and associated products.* Knowledge of a complex IT support service within a large complex organisation.* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Oracle 19C (and above) and Solaris.Please be advised that only candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required for this role will be shortlisted and submitted to our client for review.If you are interested in this position, know anyone who would be interested in this position or would like to know more about this position or any other positions we are recruiting for, please contact Tyrese at Tempting Recruitment now!
