Job Description

Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) SEN SchoolBrent, North West LondonLong-Term, Full-TimeSeptember Start£85-£95 per dayA supportiveSEN school in Brentis looking for aSpecial Needs Teaching (SEN TA) to join their welcoming setting from September. As aSpecial Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)you will be working in the classroom to support during lessons, maintain engagement and promote pupils independence. Pupils will have needsinclusive of autism (ASD), global delay (GD), and speech, language, and communication (SLCN). Some pupils in the class will be non-verbal and engage well with PECs, visual timetables and sensory approaches, so experience is desirable, butnot essential.

  • £85-£95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Long-term, full-time
  • September start
  • Good transport links and access to on-site car park
The successfulSpecial Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will:
  • Have a positive attitude and dedication to provide the best care for SEN pupils
  • Have good SEN experience, especially of autism (ASD), global delay (GD), and speech, language, and communication (SLCN) needs
  • Have experience using PECs and sensory approaches
  • Enjoy working in a team
  • Quickly adapt to different classroom situations
  • Have a valid Enhanced DBS
