Job Description

The Company:"Exciting Relocation opportunity to Bermuda !" Quest Search and Selection is currently partnering with a restaurant group that encompasses both which has cultural influences and a vintage charm.The Role:The role of Sous chef collaborates with the head chef to supervise daily kitchen operations, overseeing staff, assisting in menu preparation and maintaining meal quality and consistency.Roles and Responsibilities as Sous Chef:

  • Takes charge of the kitchen team when the chef is absent.
  • Offers guidance to junior kitchen staff, covering various tasks such as line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating..
  • Enforces a first-in, first-out food rotation system, ensuring all food products are correctly dated and organised to meet quality assurance standards.
  • Maintains well-stocked cooking stations, especially during peak operation hours.
  • Recruits and trains new kitchen staff according to restaurant and kitchen protocols.
  • Oversees all aspects of food preparation and presentation to uphold quality and adhere to restaurant standards.
  • Collaborates with the head chef to uphold kitchen organisation, staff capabilities, and training initiatives.
  • Ensures that all food storage units meet required standards and are consistently well-managed.
  • Assists the head chef in creating menus.
  • Coordinates with the restaurant management team regarding supply ordering, budgeting, kitchen efficiency, and staffing.
Key Requirements for this Sous Chef:
  • Ideally having experience working in a restaurant as sous chef o an experienced Chef De Partie looking for a step up.
  • Formal culinary education.
  • Prior experience in the Restaurant Industry.
  • Ideally having understanding Food and Beverage familiarity with Restaurant Operations.
  • Has right to work in UK.
  • Can relocate individuals only however if partner is also in hospitality there is potential of them getting a job in the group.
  • Effective Organisational Abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ideally you have a UK or International Driving License but is not essential
  • Proficient knowledge of Restaurant Regulations.
  • Leadership and Management Skills.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Outstanding Customer-Service Abilities
