Who were looking for We are looking for someone who can join the Solutions Business, to support the LDI investment desk with portfolio management tasks (cash mgmt., daily portfolio reviews, basic order generation), allowing the Solutions business to focus on integrating two offeringsand operating models resulting from the merger of legacy Schroders Solutions and River & Mercantile business. Understand the various aspects of the business and be able to develop relationships within the team, wider group, and amongst business professionals relevant to Schroders industry. The team Schroders Solutions provides Investment and Advisory and Fiduciary services to a large client base predominantly in the UK, primarily institutional pension schemes, both DC and DB and insurance firms. Schroders Solutions investment services currently focus on growth risk management (including equity derivative structures), LDI (rates and inflation exposure on a leveraged basis), fixed income solutions (buy & maintain credit, global govt) and Multi-AssetSolutions serving a global client base of institutional clients. What youll do assist the LDI investment teams with day to day portfolio management activities Have the ability to solve investment related queries and problems Broaden knowledge and interest in the financial sectors and markets Carry out analytical and research work where required to support on-going projects Respond to ad-hoc requests and answer queries To collaborate with other team members to develop the processes and how this may progress in the future with more emphasis on building efficiencies. Support senior members of the business to deliver project milestones. To be aware of and adhere to Compliance procedures and requirements in respect of the following: confidentiality, data protection, anti-money laundering procedures, TCF, conflicts of interest. The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need Educated to a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree in a numerical, finance or economics-based subject Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and must have Intermediate Level Experience of Excel Strong skills in working with PCs and on-line systems Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help Around 2 years experience within a front office team in an investment bank or asset manager Proactive in approach and show initiative to take a variety of tasks with an enquiring mind Creative approach to problem solving What youll be like Flexible and reliable - be able to prioritise and organise in a multi-task environment Able to treat all information confidentiality Possess excellent organisation skills and key attention to detail, maintaining precision and accuracy when completing given tasks Actively seeks to collaborate with others both within the same team and across functions Diligent and highly motivated Excellent attention to detail and accuracy An eagerness to take on responsibility and an ability to work to strict deadlines and manage conflicting demands on your time Were looking for the best, whoever they are Schroders is an equal opportunities employer.
