Job Description

Solution Architect (remote); Online Payment Methods/Strategy Experienced Solution Architect required to support a project to enhance the range of online payment methods available to customers, for a large-scale organisation.The project aims to explore the potential of adding various online payment methods (such as Apple Pay, Google pay, Paypal etc) to sit alongside the current preferred payment method of Direct Debits. In addition, introducing a move to paperless Direct Debits, enabling customers to self-serve on a portal or mobile app, giving greater visibility and control of payments.Solution Architect required to work with the business and technical SMEs, Business Analyst and Project Manager to help create the business case and scope out the high-level End to End solution designScope of WorkRequired by the Solutions Architect to be completed for the project start up and to get to business case; Business Benefits

  • Workshops with project and business resources to gather financial and non-financial benefits and objectives
  • Define what Technology will be required to both enable and sustain the change
  • Identification of measures, baseline and predicted uplift for the benefits
  • Link benefits and objectives to the business drivers
    • Solution Design
  • Create a payment strategy for New Ways to Pay detailing Pros and cons of each method
  • Create high level E2E Solution Design which aligns with CIO strategy and the Target Operating Model
  • Define integration between project target architecture and existing business systems and how the project will deliver the technology
  • Working with System owners and 3rd suppliers understand/define technical options and/or pilots as necessary, and support the procurement process as required

  • Define Post go live BAU maintenance and support of the solution
  • Define Post go live further development/enhancement of the solution
    • Dependencies and approach
  • Define solution delivery approach
  • Identify technical dependencies with other projects/Business areas e.g. Digital team to align solution/deliverables
    • Generate documentation/Artefacts We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with extensive, demonstrable experience of the above deliverables, with specific demonstrable experience and expertise around payment services. You will need to be capable of working autonomously, engaging stakeholders and driving forward in a busy environment where stakeholders are involved in a number of disparate change initiatives.
  • 10 week contract (potential for extension)
  • Paying up to £650 per day.
  • Remote working (equipment provided)
    • Candidates must be available to start approx January 11th. Interviews to take place 17st/18th Dec.
