Job Description

Solution Architect

  • Deliver and own the platform architecture for Data Engineering, Data Science and AI on Azure native technologies.
  • Implemented big data platforms, produce architecture
  • Deliver and own the Data Architecture technology capabilities using the Azure or Azure partner led Data Management suites for Meta Data Management, Master Data and Reference Data Management
  • Deliver and own the Common data models (Conceptual and Logical Data Model) for various business domains working closely with the Data Architect and Data Modellers
  • Play a governance role, to assure the solutions of various product teams trying to deliver their data products using the EDP platform.
  • Accountable to document the guard rails, standard methodologies, and guidance on the EDP platform usage and design considerations.
  • Work closely with Data Stewards and Data Curators to aid them embed the Data Management technology suites and help in shaping the Operating model.
  • Responsible to architect the policies around cost management and play a key role in capacity forecasting.
  • Create Data Governance framework and data architecture designs - focusing ownership on the centralised data models working with Data Architect.
  • Define access management approaches and techniques to secure our data - keeping in mind regulatory and privacy requirements.
  • Be an ambassador for the Enterprise Data Platform(EDP), Data Management technology capabilities.
  • Be an ambassador for good data design principles to best support the end users/applications.
  • Guide and collaborate with engineering teams during implementations.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and priorities for the functional and non-functional aspects of a data product/application.
Capabilities and Experience
  • Deep experience in delivering the big data platform architecture.
  • Reasonable knowledge on Data Management functions and ability to land the technology capabilities for Data Management working closely with the Solution and Technical Architects
  • Good experience in creating enterprise data models (Conceptual/Logical) following industry-standards.
  • Data literate: understands how to derive value from trusted data and partners with end-users to elicit and translate requirements into suitable data structures.
  • Experience in architecting scalable access management frameworks to ensure only the right consumers can view the appropriate data.
  • Rich experience in Technology stacks (Cloud-native) on Data Engineering, Data Science, AI, Data Management and Governance aspects (Data Privacy, Data Quality, RDM and MDM)
