Job Description Job Title: Lead Solution Architect Location(s): London Chiswell St., Edinburgh Port Hamilton, Halifax office.We also offer flexible working hours, agile working practices flexibility to suit your lifestyle and ensure a good work-life balance.Salary & Benefits:£81,928 to £102,410 per annum (London based only), £70, 784 - £88, 480 (outside London). In addition, annual personal bonus (performance based up to 30%), 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance,30 days holiday plus bank holidays. Job Summary A great opportunity has arisen within Channel Infrastructure, where the Identity and Authentication Lab provides an enterprise level Authentication service. The Platform needs to meet the Strong Customer Authentication regulatory commitments, enable innovationto help lead into the bank of the future, and to trailblaze within the industry. The Platform will support and grow a wide range of authenticators to serve the Banks digital channels.Were committed to delivering a world-class customer experience by building a state-of-the-art Identity & Authentication Platform and enabling our customers to feel safe and secure with their data while accessing our multi-channel digital ecosystem.What will I focus on in this roleThe Solution Architect is vital in ensuring the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect! Youll realise business value by delivering reliable, scalable, and working software to through to Production.The successful candidate will ensure that platforms and services are built consistent with industry methodology and standards and be responsible for the design and solutions for the domain application stack, understanding application integration and E2E flow.They should also be comfortable communicating this at all levels, from senior partners down to root-cause analysis with developers.Specific activities which youll be responsible for include things like:

• Own the design of solutions for large initiatives and programmes throughout the entire delivery lifecycle
• Through expert engineering and architectural skills, translate high level business requirements into technology architectures that align to the strategic architecture
• Direct and control specialist teams to undertake the delivery of comprehensive designs
• Lead senior business partners to secure strong engagement for the solution and ensure that delivery aligns to longer term roadmaps
• Take designs through governance processes with meaningful architectural artefacts and ensure the required engineering and architecture cohorts are engaged as required throughout the design phase
• Mentor and lead other engineers and build a strong team culture through peer-to-peer teamwork and development

What essential experience we need to see from applicants

• Strong software engineering and architecture background
• Experience of working in Web/Mobile programmes
• Knowledge of agile development practices with a history of technical leadership
• Experience across the entire solutions development lifecycle from inception, through build to Production
• Youll appreciate and acknowledge the impact of system design decisions on scalability, resilience, and supportability
• Experience of API design and architecture patterns
• Exposure to modern application frameworks (Springboot, Java etc)

It would be welcome if you also had the following experience (desirable):

• Knowledge of delivery of microservices to Production
• Line management experience
• Exposure to Systems Thinking
• Exposure to Docker and container orchestration tools e.g. Kubernetes
• Experience with Public & Private Cloud Solutions, ideally Google Cloud Platform and Open Shift Container Platform
• Understanding of HSMs, OAUTH, LDAP, SAML, OpenID, SSO
• Experience of WebSphere, APIC/DataPower appliances, Enterprise Liberty, development in JAVA using various framework such as Spring, Microprofile etc
• Experience of designing and implementing zero trust models
