Job Description

A market leading Software Company based in Putney, SW London is seeking a Software Installation and Integration Specialist to focus on installing the company’s software products, modules, and connectors for their broad and growing customer base.***Please note - Experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise software systems is essential. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Information Technology background, preferably having worked with Enterprise Software and with the Microsoft Stack (.NET, WCF, Server OS, SQL, etc.). Working knowledge of Modbus, SNMP, OPC,BACnet/IP protocols is also required.***Responsibilities:

  • Technical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to software installations, software configuration, troubleshooting, and providing technical consultancy to customers
  • Collaborative project management activities that include, but not limited to interacting with company and client stakeholders, work with company and client project/IT managers, and assist with project scoping
  • Manage customer Installation/Upgrade progress from start to finish, lead customer Installation/Upgrade meeting sessions, and open/track/close completed projects in the internal tracking tools
  • Maintain proficiency with current and newly released software products and technologies through self-directed (reading documentation) and formal training (provided by Product Management)
  • Ability to work independently with Microsoft Server OS, Internet Information Services, all the major Microsoft SQL Server modules, SQL databases, and an understanding of Networking/Firewall ports and protocols
    • Qualification Requirements and Desirables:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Information Technology role, professional services consulting experience a plus, and experience working in a Data Center setting/environment (desirable)
  • Experience in the latest releases of Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Microsoft SQL Server and major modules (SQL DB Engine, SQL Agent, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Failover Technologies a plus (AlwaysON, Log Shipping, Mirroring)
  • Experience working with Internet Information Services, Services.msc, Task Scheduler, XML files, .NET files, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SSL Certificates and prior experience with STIG’d systems (desirable)
  • Understanding of Network/Firewall ports and protocols
  • Ability to use collaboration tools such as GoToMeeting/WebEx/Zoom/Skype/etc.
  • Must be Self-motivated, Independent, flexible, resourceful, able to work in a team, and be responsive to requests.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), and Enterprise Management System (EMS)
  • Working knowledge of Modbus, SNMP, OPC,BACnet/IP protocols
  • Working knowledge of data center mechanical, electrical and cooling infrastructure
  • Knowledge of data centers including, design, layout, infrastructure, power, networking, cooling, services and processes
  • Must be able to travel occasionally and perform work on client sites (limited though as most support can be provided remotely)
  • Able to pass Background Checks to obtain Security Clearances is required
