Job Description

Role: Software EngineerLocation: LondonDuration: 12 monthsApplicable Bonus: Company PlanSalary: 62K - 75KProject Overview:The Android Enterprise organization aims to make Android the most trusted and helpful platform for work. This covers everything from our "one life, one phone" work profile solution for keeping personal data protected, to dedicated in-flight entertainmentsystems and highly-secure governmental device deployments.Overall Responsibilities:

  • Make Android robust for business use across all device manufacturers with compatibility tests (Java) that enforce how Android devices should behave in a range of work scenarios.
  • Expand our proprietary Android Enterprise testing SDK (Java) to make it as easy-as-possible for any Android developer to write readable tests.
  • Create developer-facing APIs to configure Android devices into a range of complex states for any given test, solving for performance and stability.
  • Designing for both SDK power and developer ease-of-use makes for interesting technical problems.
Skill/Experience/EducationMandatory
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with Android development is a MUST (may be app development or OS development)
  • Experience programming in Java is a MUST
  • Experience writing tests using the JUnit testing framework is a MUST
Desired
  • Experience developing an automated testing infrastructure
