Software Development Manager | London | £70,000 - £80,000We have a fantastic job opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Team Lead with experience of back-end and front-end Web development in a Cloud environment.If you have experience of working on diverse projects using web and hybrid applications and web development technologies and development tools, this job role will be for you!Individuals who understand RESTful APIs; using them and creating them, whilst being able to architect a Cloud-based environment’s autoscaling and at-edge compute features will be of interest. You will also have experience of looking after a small team of developers to deliver a project and a prior, solid background as a Senior Software Engineer.THE BASICS:We are looking for an individual with strong commercial development experience in web development, familiarity with distributed systems, and keen mathematical skills, with an enthusiasm for technical challenges.In this role, there will be technically challenging areas of work across several disciplines, including architecture, web-development software engineering, and continuous integration/delivery.Working as part of a team on large-scale applications will see you take responsibility for the full development lifecycle, from design and prototype through to development, testing, and deployment.THE TECHNICAL STUFF:Having a BEng / MEng / BSc / MSc in a relevant subject or equivalent experience is important. So too is strong commercial software development experience.If you have experience in software development for the web including PHP, Javascript, CSS, common Javascript Frameworks, Single Page Web Applications, Desktop Hybrid Web Applications, server side skills, CDNs, then you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.Experience with automated testing best practices, and Continuous Integration/Delivery, as well as familiarity with software configuration management (SCM) concepts and version control systems, especially Git, coupled with an understanding of Unix/Linux systems, including scripting skills will hold you in good stead.Anyone with experience around architecting and delivering solutions in Cloud Based environments (esp.
