Job Description

Software DeveloperCentral London 6 monthsWe are representing a global brand who are recruiting for multiple Software Developers to support the development of a bespoke data platform.You will work closely with data architects, engineers, and business support resources to deliver software, configuration and installation support to enable the mobilisation and evolution of the data platform.Duties:

  • Work collaboratively with Data Architects and Data Engineers to develop and design the data platform
  • Take the lead and provide insight and perspectives on software integration and development decisions.
  • Help coordinate the design and then implementation of data solutions which support high amounts and velocity of data, supports future growth, uses the latest data technologies/techniques and is cloud supported.
  • Quickly deploy new releases such as deploy new data pipelines and add data sources.
    • Essential Skills/Required experience:
  • 10+ years experience of data platforms; working with large datasets, large amounts of data in motion and numerous big data technologies.
  • C# design and coding skills
  • Strong experience of general development platforms including .NET
  • Experienced in software deployment technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, Git etc
  • Strong cloud experience (specifically Microsoft Azure) including but not limited to Databricks and Azure Foundations
  • Data Architecture and design techniques (local/abstract) including Azure API techniques/developments
  • Agile Project Delivery techniques (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Awareness of data pipelining-based technologies (KAFKA, StreamSets)
