The post-holder will have the opportunity to work in the specialist adolescent services as part of a multi - disciplinary team, working alongsidecolleagues in the delivery of integrated services to young people including Youth Justice, edge of care and Child Exploitation.It is an exciting time to be joining Hertfordshires Specialist Adolescent Service. We are currently embedding our new Practice model,which is underpinned by trauma informed practice and have a skilled and motivated workforce delivering child-centred interventions. The Specialist Adolescent Service delivers in two main areas, Youth Justice Services and Adolescent Social Care. The Youth JusticeService was rated as Outstanding in June 2018 (HMIP) and Childrens Services received a Good with Outstanding Leadership in October 2018 (Ofsted). Senior leaders are restlessly ambitious for the children, young people and families who depend on them forhelp and protection, care and support. With a strong track record and a tangible commitment to continuous improvement, childrens social care services continue to be well led, well managed and well run. (Ofsted, 2018)The Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire(SASH) has developed a practice model underpinned by trauma informed practice, using the ARC approach. The model is further strengthened by continuing to develop our practice in three areas that compliment this approach; Motivational Interviewing, AppreciativeInquiry and Restorative Practice.We were impressed by the skilled workforce and the thoroughness of their work.
