DESCRIPTIONAmazon Prime Video is disrupting the traditional television and movie industry with a massive library of high-quality media and reliable digital delivery. We offer customers the greatest choice in what to watch, from popular Amazon Original TV Shows and Movies (made by Amazon Studios, such as Carnival Row, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Golden Globe winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Oscar-winning Manchester by the Sea), to TV shows exclusively available for Prime members in each country (such as American Gods, MR ROBOT and Outlander), Live Sport (such as ATP, US Open and Premier League games), and access to 60+ Channels (like Discovery, Starz, Eurosport and hayu).Today, we operate in 200+ countries. As part of this global presence, the Prime Video International team aspires to enable every internet-connected user in the world to browse our service and watch content (via subtitles and dubbing) in their preferred language, on any device, and anywhere they are in the world. The Prime Video International team owns the language roadmap (i.e. conducting research and defining methodologies to decide what new languages to support), the execution of that roadmap (including all tech and non-tech workstreams), and the post-launch reporting (i.e. defining and tracking adoption and usage metrics to understand customer behaviour and ROI).We are looking for a Snr Technical Program Manager (TPM) who shares Amazon’s passion for delivering great video experiences to our growing international base of customers. As a TPM in the Prime Video International team, you will be our team’s technical lead to introduce multi-lingual user experiences for our Prime Video international customers. You will work with our Engineering teams in the US and UK that look after our Web, Mobile (iOS/Android) and Living Room (Smart TVs) apps as well as our back-end Catalogue System Operations to scope the technical work needed, and track these technical dependencies. Some of these dependencies require building new technologies/services that currently do not exist, and will require a technical deep dive to determine how best to set them up. In this role, you will be interfacing with multiple partner teams (incl. engineering, operations, catalogue, QA, CS, and executive teams) to scope features, set priorities, and find technical ways to invent and simplify in order to meet your project timelines.A successful candidate will have a technical background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem solving abilities. You will clearly and concisely present program status updates to senior leadership (both written and verbal). Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences.
