* Work location: REMOTE* Work mode: Contractor Consultant* Part-Time: expected 100 - 120 days p/yrSMARTWATCH Designer Work location: REMOTE (Europe)Salary: Daily rate will be in range of £600 - £800 per day (depending on experience level)Part-Time: expected 100 - 120 days p/yrWork mode: Contractor ConsultantResponsibilities* Work with a highly skilled Chinese design team to deliver innovative and characteristic design DNA or CMF solutions for flagship key projects (such as mate30 Porsche flagship model by Huawei Paris Aesthetics Institute), as well as possible supporting accessorydesigns, such as premium cases, styluses, wireless charging docks, etc. * Serve as a design representative in Europe, participates in communications between the local community and China, marketing activities, etc., to promote designs externally. * Participates in evaluation tasks in related fields, including exterior designs, wallpapers, packaging, and other deliverables involving the overall product image.Requirements* Excellent design and aesthetic tastes, proficient in using various means (hand-drawn/2D/3D) to adequately express design ideas, sensitive to changes in trends, and quick to express them in works. * Possesses degree of reputation and recognition in industrial design.* Have designed industry-acclaimed smartwatch products, won high-end design awards, such as Big Four (iF/Reddot/Good Design Award/IDEA) or other prestigious professional design awards. * Strong communication skills, team player, able to express design ideas fluently in English and cooperate with Chinese design team.* MUST be experience with industrial design of SMARTWATCHES, and ideally also familiar with Smartphones, tablets* Your SMARTWATCH design experience MUST be recent.* MUST have industrial design experience for products that have already been commercially launched successfully, and not just at concept design stage onlySome additional information as follows:* Due to remote work nature with China HQ, candidates can be anywhere in Europe so long as they can work from home office.* Smartwatch Designer will report directly to Design Director of client back in China.* English will be the working language.* Engagement contract will be via a 3rd party payroll service company in Europe and contractor fee will be based on "daily" rate, for a certain number of days in a year or 6 months, to be defined upon successful interviews and offer negotiation (likely 100~120days in a year)APPLICATIONS:* Send your CV today - along with Design Portfolios (either in pdf file, or with link) showing your smartwatch design experience for clients assessment.* Upon successful CV qualification screening, we will arrange interviews over video, and it will be 2 rounds.
