Job Description

We are looking for a Sixth Form Admin Officer with admin experience to join our academy. As a core member of the Sixth Form team, you will be the first point of contact for internally and externally supporting our Director of Sixth Form, Head of Y12 andY13 in establishing outstanding provision within the Department. Dr Lawrence Foley, Executive PrincipalMain Areas of ResponsibilityThe main responsibilities of your role will be: Have a positiveapproach when working with all stakeholders associated with the Academy. Follow and adhere to all routines, expectations and policies implemented by the Governing body and Executive Principal to the best of your ability. Take whole school responsibility whennecessary/required. To be a positive team player when working within the relevant teams. To maintain a high level of professionalism (a role model to students) when working in relevant teams and with all stakeholders associated with the Academy. To undertakereception duties and be the first point of contact for all stakeholders who visit the Academy Sixth Form Centre. To lead on the collating and updating of information on manual and computer based systems with regards to the Post 16 student bursary. To assiststudents to manage their bursary spending including advising on what can be claimed. To manage the administration of the applications process. To administer Careers Guidance Events as part of the applications process. To seek references from external candidateswhere required, organise the interview process and send letters informing students as to whether their application has been successful. To organise induction into y12 and y13 via letter, spread sheet and liaison with subject teachers To liaise with the Directorof Sixth Form to organise the enrolment of Year 11 students into Year 12 on GCSE results day and during the summer holidays To attend meetings when required, taking minutes if requested and distributing them after meetings. To assist with the organisationand clerical records of extra - curricular activities with regards to trips, health and safety, outside agencies, guest speakers and UCAS. The academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staffand volunteers to share this commitment. To process student leavers. To communicate with students and parents regarding exams, study and intervention timetables. To produce reference letters and attendance letters on behalf of Director of Sixth Form. To communicatewith parents/ guardians regarding all Parents Evenings/ Concern Meetings and events. To upload relevant letters/announcements to website for Parent/Guardians to view. To liaise with the site team regarding event logistics. To monitor attendance at parentsevenings. To request and obtain all relevant safeguarding files from the schools of external students. To update and maintain student records on Bromcom. To monitor student attendance regarding lateness.
