Job Description

Service Engineering Manager (AWS IaC Terraform Networking) *Hybrid / London* to £110k + bonusAre you a talented and influential technologist seeking an impactful, hands-on leadership roleYou could be joining a successful Hedge Fund that invests in the sports betting markets as a Service Engineering Manager.Salary & Benefits:

Your Role:As a Service Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented service engineering team consisting of 5 engineers who manage and support several technologies across the data centre and cloud infrastructure, including 900+ Windows machines and business wide Microsoftimplementation. You will be responsible for managing the team including hiring, individual catchups, reviews, and personal development, whilst also remaining hands-on to ensure the stability and reliability of key components in the production environment andthe continuous delivery of new cloud / DevOps focussed technologies.The team take pride in their engineering culture and highly collaborative environment, and encourage each other to try out new technologies, innovate, and push forward on modern tech agendas including cloud and DevOps tooling.Office & WFH:The company is based in a fantastic and scenic area of London with plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops nearby. You can work remotely 2 days a week within this position and can enjoy a wide range of perks including free breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday, an on-site gym and sauna, a games room with pool tables and dart boards, annual engineering events, and regular social events.Requirements:
  • You have strong people management skills, with proven experience of leading, motivating, and inspiring engineering teams
  • You have excellent knowledge of networking, storage, server technologies, and data centres operations
  • You understand IaC, ideally Terraform
  • You have experience implementing and supporting cloud environments (AWS or similar)
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills
