Onsite Service Engineer – Fire and Security What you will doThe role of the onsite Service Resident engineer for a commercial client in Canary Wharf area.Design technical and commissioning support as required on CCTV, Access Control, C.Cure and Victor CCTV systems and head end and other Integrated systems to deliver projects that meet the requirements of the design specification while remaining sensitiveto cost, budgets and timescales. In principle we are looking for a Senior In-House Engineer to take responsibility for managing the day-to-day operational availability of our access control and CCTV systems across 29 countries in the EMEA and APAC Regions.He/she should also have knowledge of alarm systems as applied to iStar panels.How you will do itReview of system design prior to service works and highlighting of any apparent technical, functional or compatibility issues.Position will involve supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level security systems. Assisting the blue chip client with face to face interaction regarding clients technical queries and with support on their in house projects andEnsure the system is serviced and functions in accordance with all relevant industry standards and that activities comply with customer and company health and safety procedures.Commissioning and configure system to meet the design specification and customer requirements.Provide technical troubleshooting expertise and manufacturer liaison when required.Conducting project handover and ensuring all relevant documents are passed to the Project Manager.On larger projects act as the single point of contact to organise on-site activities.What we look forExperience within Fire or Security industry with knowledge, servicing and design. Broad general knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Security systems industry. Expert knowledge in mainstream and top end Access Control, CCTV and Security systems includingcameras, locks, door furniture etc.Working knowledge of industry standards, demonstrable knowledge of IP technology and have a logical approach to troubleshooting. Had or have previous experience working in a customer facing environment, hold a full clean driving license. Skill sets requiredwill include but not be limited to:
