Job Description Service Desk Specialist - Fantastic opportunity to join a leading financial services institution working in a hybrid position ompanyService Support Desk Analyst - Insurance | FTC 12 months | Borehamwood, UK An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Desk Support Analyst to join our one of our clients Working for a subsidiary in a large insurance group that is currently undergoing rapid expansion through recent acquisition, you will be part of a dynamic team driving a key function of the business. RoleTo provide Helpdesk & Development support as part of the IT division at Hamilton Fraser. Focused on the a financial area of the business, the role holder will develop and document existing and new software solutions whist also assisting the service desk team
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line software support for internal customers. Creating, updating and resolving tickets for support requests and change requests as necessary.
  • To support and maintain existing software functionality; to investigate, analyse and correct identified defects within established service level agreements.
  • To develop software according to published standards and guidelines, including code standards and user interface design guidelines.
  • Assist with preparation of systems and user documentation.
  • Contribute to and maintain knowledge management systems.
  • Liaise with software vendor support services to ensure incidents are resolved within agreed Service Levels, escalating when required.
  • Continually update skills by learning new and relevant technologies.
Candidate
  • Solid understanding of SQL or demonstrable experience of working with solutions in SQL
  • Experience working with API Tools (e.g. Postman, Worato
  • , Stoplight)
  • Strong understanding of working with code (Java would be preferential)
  • Comfortable working with suppliers to support
  • Good attitude and self starter
  • A strong willingness to learn and develop your skill sets throughout the duration of the role
Compensation£28,000 per annum + benefits Hybrid working model (3 days-a-week in office) Hours: 0930hrs-1730hrs Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
