Role OverviewThis role sits within the Fusion Platform Team, reporting directly into the Head of Engineering, and working alongside the UX team. Role Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior UX Designers to understand and implement concepts and assets in-line with the direction and strategy for customer experience of the Fusion platform.
• Work with End-users and Agile Product Owners to understand the Business Value and use Design Thinking to create innovative solutions.
• Responsible for the production of all design artefacts (initial sketches, wireframes, prototypes & high fidelity screens) as part of User Centred Design deliverables.
• Champion and drive through defined solutions with technology development teams.
• Implement, audit and develop UX strategies and a UI Library to reflect current UI strategy
• Generate outstanding creative concept and design work, selling ideas to the business and constructively imposing opinion
• Produce conceptual and visual development, setting design direction and developing front-end solutions from concept to finished design
• Brief developers clearly and hand over work for development in organised manner
• Resolve design, UI, and navigational issues that may arise during design, development and integration of digital projects
• Work closely with the development and product teams to ensure a project is delivered to the best creative standards
• Proactively seek innovative ways to evolve the User Experience & User Interface across all digital channels
• Help to define KPIs that Software Engineering can build into the UI which can quantify Adoption/Usage/Usability and Satisfaction etc
• Consult with external development agencies to ensure consistency of UX & UI
• QA of UI and UX prior to go-live on platforms
• Ability to work in an agile development cycle
• Fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Experience / CompetencesEssential

• Academic and applied knowledge in one or more related areas including: UX Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Design Research, Prototyping, Strategy.
• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, FIGMA & other similar tools used widely in the design community
• Excellent working knowledge of colour, layout, user interface & user experience design
• Produce outstanding conceptual and visual development, setting design direction and developing front-end solutions from concept to finished design, selling ideas to the business and constructively imposing opinion
• Excellent personal organisational skills: meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced project environment, taking concepts through to resolution
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with strong ability to present at stakeholder level
• Excellent attention to detail, quality, and control
• Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
• Good understanding of Information Architecture with a strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills

Desired

• Senior level with prior experience of designing impeccable customer experience and design within the Finance and Fintech industries
• Experience with managing external development agencies to ensure consistency of UX & UI
• Experience in defining KPIs that Software Engineering can build into the UI which can quantify Adoption/Usage/Usability and Satisfaction etc
• Apply lean UX methodologies and enable the design of outstanding experience
• Ability to work in an agile development cycle
