We are currently partnering with a fast growing energy business who have a newly created opening for a qualified Senior Treasury Accountant to join their expanding department. The position will play an important role in the London team and will reportdirectly to the Group Treasury Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a first-class global treasury function. Main duties & responsibilities Conduct key day-to-day and month-end accounting and reporting activities forthe Groups oil and gas hedging activities Preparation of general ledger account reconciliations for derivative transactions to ensure integrity of accounting data interfaced from Treasury CTRM system to the Groups ERP SAP system, and subsequent reportingsystems in conjunction with the Group Finance and Operating Unit Accountants Implementation and maintenance of hedge accounting relationships for the Groups Operating Units including the preparation of hedge documentation, performing hedge designations orde-designations and supporting hedge effectiveness testing process when required Providing insight into derivatives movements of actuals against budget and forecast and providing suitable commentary for review Contribute to the preparation and review of Treasurysmonthly management information report distributed to the Groups Senior management and key stakeholders Participate in treasury systems developments including upgrade testing and process automation/enhancement to gain efficiencies What youll need.. Qualifiedaccountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with significant technical accounting experience with in depth knowledge of hedge accounting under IFRS 9 (commodities, currency and interest rate hedging) Recognised Treasury qualification (ACT or equivalent) is desirable Experiencewith a Treasury Management System An eye for detail and accuracy in reporting Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral Excellent analytical skills Good project management skills Readiness to work as part of a small team If thisrole looks like it could be a good fit your background and you would like to discuss further, please apply via this advert or for immediate attention send your CV and a brief covering letter directly to .
