Job Description

Our client is a leading global Law and Fiduciary business with offices in multiple jurisdictions. As part of a major Technology Transformation Programme and transition to Cloud, they are currently seeking a Technical Citrix Consultant to be based remotelyin the UK but with travel to Jersey, Channel Islands 1 day per month. This would therefore suit someone that is set up well to work remotely and is close to airports to Jersey that include, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Southampton, Manchester, Liverpool and others.This is a hands-on technical role, you will need to be passionate about the ever-changing environment of infrastructure services, particularly the shift towards Cloud computing, as well as technically expert in Citrix and ideally more key technologies usedhere. This role sits within the IT Infrastructure Team and as part of this team you will regularly assist and support more senior members in architecture and implementations of highly-available and secure IT infrastructure services across the Group.The role also has a broad range of IT responsibilities in group-wide projects as well as systems maintenance, including upgrades, new features and new implementations, system and Cloud admin; in which we are responsible for successful technical delivery.The client works through all areas of project lifecycle: requirement-gathering, solution-selection, working with suppliers, testing, final delivery and ongoing support.But the role is more than this. With the on-going growth of the firm in a competitive market, they are expected and empowered to always be on the lookout to identify and deliver innovative and creative solutions, focused on creating practical benefits thatcan make a difference to the firm.Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal workload management, ensuring your workloads are prioritised, handled and completed in line with service level agreements, with an emphasis on high-quality customer service. Take responsibility for personal development, with a focus on continuousimprovement
  • As part of the IT Infrastructure Team, contribute to the design and implementation of effective IT solutions, supporting the changing needs of the business
  • Technical operation of Group IT infrastructure, to include but not limited to the following technologies:
o Subject matter Expert (SME) in Enterprise Citrix environments, including virtual apps and desktops, Citrix Cloud services and/or Netscalero Management of multi-site/location VMware enterprise solutionso Microsoft Windows 10/11 Enterprise, including VDA delivery using Citrixo VMware delivering virtual machines and Citrix Desktopso Support and maintenance of Microsoft 365 cloud services, including Azure AD, Microsoft Teams, Intune and Exchange Onlineo Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 operating systemso HPE server and storage hardware
  • Follow the prevailing IT processes and procedures (e.g. Incident, Problem and Change Management) ensuring technical documentation records are maintained and updated
  • Liaise with Ogier staff (customers) regarding issues that have been escalated to the team, to ensure timely resolution
  • Strong analytical skills, working to pinpoint the root cause of support incidents and to deliver timely
  • Foster a culture of customer focused IT service delivery
  • Ability to work in a fast moving technical environment, requiring 24x7 support
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A current IT professional qualification in line with the client technical infrastructure stack e.g: Citrix; VMware; Microsoft; HPE
  • A minimum of 5 years proven skills and experience in the following:
o Proven experience in the creative, efficient and effective use of IT resources, maximising benefit from existing investment in hardware and softwareo Extensive experience of managing a multi-jurisdictional/location Citrix, VMware and Microsoft corporate environments, utilising both on-prem and cloud serviceso Experience of technical project management - for example, supporting small/medium technical projectso Third-party management and task allocationo Information security - knowledge and experience of new and emerging technologies and legislation that affects or potentially effects the security of Ogiers internal and external client datao Technical project supplier management - assist with the creation of scope of works and-ensuring delivery against statement of works and agreed costso 3rd line support and problem managementThis is an excellent opportunity to work across the business supporting core systems and to help them to transition to Cloud
