Senior Technical Accountant Remote 4 month contract £280 a day via PAYE or £380 a day via UmbrellaIn Scope of IR35Vacancy Overview The Statutory Accountant within the Technical Accountant Team is: - Responsible for the complete process of statutory accounts from preparation to filing for several EDF UK entities under FRS101.- Responsible for contributing to the production of the consolidated IFRS accounts - The Key contact for the auditors during the statutory audit process of the relevant entities and contributions to the consolidated accounts Principal Accountabilities Statutory Accounts- Be responsible for the process of preparing statutory accounts for several UK EDF entities under FRS101- Liaise with the Internal Stakeholders to ensure the accounts are prepared and reviewed in line with the timetable.- Liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process and timely filing of accounts- Be responsible for preparing several notes of the consolidated financial statements under IFRS.General - Provide support to both the technical accounting manager and other members of the Technical Accounting Team as required- Undertake other ad hoc projects at the direction of the Technical Accounting Manager - Undertake other ad hoc projects at the direction of the CFO, Financial Control Director, Head of Accounting and Consolidation or Technical Accounting Manager Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience - Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA etc) with experience in the preparation of financial statements and technical accounting manager - Experience of working with Auditors to complete statutory audits- Confident user of accounting software with an ability to learn new systems quickly - Strong knowledge of accounting policies and IFRS- Able to work independently and identify key issues- Proven ability to build effective working level relationships across functions including operations financial teams, legal teams and tax teams - Strong commercial, numerical and analytical ability - Act with complete integrity and confidentiality- Knowledge and understanding of SAP, Anaplan and/or OneSource Accounts Production is desirable- An understanding of the Energy Sector Required skills
