To oversee day-to-day operations of the tarmac gangs to ensure the smooth running of tarmacking and resurfacing. To manage and ensure the efficient and economic use of resources, materials, transport, plant, and equipment to its best potentialThe successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the tarmac gangs and effective deployment of resources to ensure works are delivered incident free, in compliance with company policy and procedures, client specifications and standards, to programme and within budget.Skills A positive attitude • To be an effective leader • Be IT literate • Technically competent in NRSWA • Good communications skills, both written and verbal • Self-motivated but able to work as part of a team. • Good organizational skills • Knowledge of Section 58, Section 74, Section 81, and Defects. • Expert knowledge of tarmac surfacing, backfilling and reinstatement, white top, and black top. • Preferably knowledge in core testing. • Flexible and able to adapt and provide solutions where needed. • Driving License Qualifications • CSCS and/or EUSR for appropriate level of responsibility / competency • Supervisors accreditation NRSWA • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) • Minimum 5 years in a similar supervisory role.
